This week's guest for Komets Game of the Week "Fans in the Stands" will be Richard Close. Close worked for Pepsi Cola, a major sponsor of the Fort Wayne Komets, for a number of years and is now retired. He is a season ticket holder and has been attending games since 1957. He was privileged to know a few Komets legends personally, such as goalie Robbie Irons, who also worked at Pepsi for a time. As a Komets fan, Close made a point to travel to a number of away games over the years, visiting every current IHL city except Bloomington, IL and has a great many interesting stories from the various locales over the years. Remember to tune in to Comcast 55 or Verizon Fios 25 on Wednesday, November 18 at 8 PM or Thursday, November 19 at Noon to watch and reminisce about old-time Komet hockey with Wendy and Richard.
