Labenski Suspended

Dayton Gems defenseman Greg Labenski was issued a five game suspension by the IHL on Tuesday following his elbow to the head of Fort Wayne Komets forward Konstantin Shafranov during the second period of the two teams' match-up on Saturday night, November 14. No call was made on the ice. The Komets went on to win the contest by a final score of 2-1 in overtime. Shafranov suffered a concussion from the blow and has been placed on 30 day IR by the Komets.
