Master Sgt. Steve Kingsley will be Wendy Bartle's guest for "Fans in the Stands" on the next broadcast of the Komets Game of the Week. In addition to being a longtime Komets fan, Kingsley has participated in all four years of the Komets Kare Package program, along with the News Sentinel's Komets beat writer Blake Sebring. The Komets Kare project allows fans to donate varous items, from baby wipes and chapstick to DVDs and board games, to show their appreciation to members of the U.S. armed services currently serving their country overseas in Iraq and Afghanistan. The broadcast was taped on Sunday, December 6, 2009, which was the last day to drop off donations for this year's Komets Kare Package, but Kingsley discusses the program and explains some of the project's newest features. Remember to tune in on Wednesday, December 16 at 8 PM or Thursday, December 17 at noon to learn more about the Komets Kare Package program and one of the men behind it, Master Sgt. Steve Kingsley.
